Lithology and Thickness

Mainly relatively poorly cemented sandstone of variable coarseness, at certain levels conglomeratic, with interbedded varicolored sandy shales, and, thin, black to brown, ironstone bearing horizons. In some areas two horizons near the middle include granitic and metamorphic rock erratics reaching 2 meters in diameter. Locally a few thin, irregular, pale gray and pastel, dense, dolomite lenses are present, particularly in the upper part.

It is further divided into Nuayyim Fm Wudayhi Mbr, Nuayyim Fm Tinat Mbr, Nuayyim Fm A Res
